Happy Monday, Eagles! We have a few exciting announcements this week, including the dates for our course advising and resume workshop drop-in hours, as well as a professor panel! Make sure to take a look at all the other events and opportunities we have to offer, too!
BCEA Course Advising

Drop in to Fulton 240 between 5 and 7 pm on Wednesday, April 8th or 7 and 9 pm on Tuesday, April 14th for guidance from upperclassmen about recommended economics courses and help designing your schedule before course registration!
BCEA Professor Panel

Join us on Tuesday, April 13th from 6:30 to 7:30 pm in Fulton 310 to get to know professors in the economics department. The panelists will share about their previous experiences, specialties, current projects, and the courses they teach. This is a great way to learn more about professors and courses you are interested in taking before course registration!
BCEA Resume Workshop

Submitting a resume to an employer? Want it reviewed before you do? Or are you in need of guidance on how to start drafting a new resume? Stop by our resume workshop on Wednesday, April 15th from 5-7pm in Fulton 240. Upperclassmen will provide guidance on drafting a resume and review existing resumes to make sure yours is ready to go!
Eaglenomics is Back!

Joining us in this episode is Professor Jonathan Kirshner, Professor of political science and international studies at Boston College. His work focuses on international relations and political economy, and he has written many books on these topics, including An Unwritten Future, Realism and Uncertainty in World Politics, and America After the Financial Crisis. He is also a Professor of International Political Economy Emeritus in the Department of Government at Cornell University. He received his bachelor’s from Johns Hopkins University, and both his master’s and PhD from Princeton University. Listen to the episode here!
Eagletarian Submissions Now Open!
We would like to invite you all to submit your work to The Eagletarian. The Eagletarian is the BC Economics Association’s very own research journal and accepts all economics-related research from undergraduates. The papers that you submit can be ones written independently or for class on any economics-related topic that interests you. Submitting your work to The Eagletarian is a great opportunity to have your ideas published and be seen throughout the Economics department and beyond! The guidelines for submitting a paper are listed below.
The paper should have a minimum length of 1,500 words, submitted in .doc or .docx format, the submission Title should be formatted as follows: Title_Last Name, and must be formatted using consistent, in-text citations (Chicago Style preferred) and include a Work Cited page.

Peer-to-Peer Stata and Econometrics Help
Are you taking an upper-level elective that has you doing problem sets or projects that involve Stata programming or econometric modeling? Or are you in the Econometrics or Statistics labs? Are you writing a thesis?
The Econ Help Desk is a talented, experienced team of undergrads ready to help their peers with problem sets, assignments, and research projects involving Stata programming and/or econometric analysis. Each Help Desk team member will be available twice a week for in-person or Zoom live help. They can also answer questions asynchronously through posts on Ed Discussion. For more information on each team member's specific hours and how to access the help, please see the Econ Help Desk site.
The Econ Help Desk will start on Tuesday, January 20, and run through the beginning of study days at the end of the semester. No appointment is necessary, but please do plan ahead (especially for end-of-semester assignments).
Apply to the Eagle Intern Fellowship!

The BC Career Center's Eagle Intern Fellowship removes financial barriers for students seeking to pursue unpaid summer internship opportunities in industries of interest. The fellowship is open to students in good academic standing who have secured a summer internship and have demonstrated financial need (as determined by the Boston College Financial Aid office). There are three chances to apply this semester–the first deadline is Monday, February 23 and the application officially opens on February 1! Learn more and apply here.
IMPORTANT - 73% of the students who applied for grants for the summer of 2025 received one. You can meet with one of their career coaches to craft a backup plan, in case your internship is not funded.
Deloitte Digital Salesforce Academy

Deloitte is excited to invite Boston College students to apply for the upcoming Deloitte Digital Salesforce Academy (DDSA) Career Journey Series – a month-long program designed to help students explore what Salesforce Consulting is. Students will have the opportunity to network with Deloitte practitioners in an Ask Us Anything session and earn resume-worthy credentials on Salesforce Trailhead. CRA Scholarship Application

Charles River Associates (CRA) is now accepting applications for the 2026 CRA All-Access Scholarship, a talent development program designed to support students pursuing degrees in Business, Economics or STEM.
Through this program, 12 current college sophomore/penultimate students will each receive a $5,000 scholarship to support their 2026-27 enrollment at an accredited university in the United States or United Kingdom. The All-Access Scholarship is open to students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership, community service and financial need.

Anderson Future Tax Leaders Scholarship
Scholarship Overview: Applicants must be full-time students who have earned 36-48 college credit hours from an accredited four-year college or university in the U.S. and meet the following criteria:
Business students with an intended Accounting major or concentration
Minimum Cumulative GPA of 3.0
Demonstrated keen interest in Tax, as shown by:
Actively pursuing CPA eligibility
Relevant coursework
Leadership in business-related student organizations
Participation in externships, internships, or related experiences
Legal residents of the 50 states and Washington, D.C. who are at least 18 years old
Financial need will be considered
Application Requirements
To be considered, students must submit their resume, transcript, and two short personal essays. Additional insight into their leadership or tax/accounting related experience and a summary of their financial need may be submitted as well. Submissions will be reviewed and scored by a panel of Andersen professionals, and top applicants will participate in interviews determining their selection to receive a scholarship award.

Rise@AG Externship at Analysis Group:
Analysis Group is excited to launch their application process for the Rise@AG Externship. This week-long immersive summer experience is designed to introduce undergraduate students to the world of economic consulting. The program is open to all applicants, especially those who have had limited exposure to economic consulting and who are invested in access to opportunity in the economics field. During this program, externs will discover how data-driven thinking helps solve complex business and litigation challenges. I am attaching our program flyer, as well, in case you’d like to share it in your outreach.
Program Highlights:
Exposure to the Analyst role through a mock case, workshops, interview prep, and analyst shadowing.
Opportunities to connect with AG’s affinity groups open to all employees, such as Black@AG and Latins@AG, and learn about our inclusive culture.

Eligibility:
Open to all undergraduate applicants graduating in Winter 2027 or Spring 2028.
A concentration in accounting, computer science, economics, finance, mathematics, or statistics is preferred. A STEM degree is required for individuals who require visa sponsorship.
Demonstrated strong academic performance (GPA at or higher than a 3.5).
Interest in data analysis and solving economic or business problems. Exposure to Excel, R, Python, or Stata is preferred.
Involvement in student organizations, research assistantships, or other similar roles.
Availability to attend program in person from August 17 to August 21, 2026.
Berkley Economic Review Submissions:
Berkeley Economic Review offers a great opportunity for students to publish their work in a professional, academic setting and reach an extensive community of fellow passionate economists. They have become the first and only fully citable undergraduate general economics journal. Currently, the journal is seeking theses and research papers from undergraduate students in the field of economics!
Please note that all submissions must strictly adhere to the formatting, citation, and eligibility requirements outlined on their website. Papers that do not meet the published criteria, including standards for originality, structure, and academic integrity, will not be considered for review. For reference, please see the past editions.
