BCEA Mentorship Program

Are you a freshman or sophomore in search of guidance on the best economics courses to take, resume development and career paths to explore? Are you a junior or senior interested in offering advice on how to proceed as an economics student? Fill out the respective mentorship interest forms for mentors and mentees to join the BCEA mentorship program! The program matches freshmen and sophomores with junior and senior leaders offering their guidance and support to underclassmen. The program is a great way to get involved in BCEA and connect with other economics students! Fill out the form by October 10th to join the program.

CRA x BCEA Information Session

Are you a student interested in economic consulting? Join us for an exclusive talk with CRA professionals, including BC alumnus Matthew Ventrella, as they share insights about CRA’s internship program and what it’s like to work in the field.

This is a great opportunity to learn how to prepare for competitive internships, ask questions directly to industry experts, and gain valuable advice for your career path. We hope to see you there on Wednesday, October 15th in Higgins 265 from 6:30-7:30 PM!

Cato University Student Event

Cato University is the Cato Institute’s educational conference series for college and graduate students. The event will take place on October 18 from 8:30 am - 4:30 pm at the Harvard Faculty Club (20 Quincy St., Cambridge, MA). This day-long seminar will challenge students to examine international trade and foreign policy through the lens of classical liberalism. Speakers will include Cato’s Jeff Miron, Dartmouth’s Doug Irwin, and author Johan Norberg who will discuss his new book Peak Human. 

Strategic Finance at Wayfair Event

Wayfiar is hosting an "Inside Look: Strategic Finance at Wayfair" event on Monday, October 20th, at 6:15 PM. The event will feature a panel discussion with some of their senior finance leaders, followed by a networking session with several Boston College alumni who work at Wayfair.

All are welcome and students with an interest in finance, business analytics, and data-driven strategy are highly encouraged to attend to learn about a unique career path, connect with leaders, and hear directly from BC grads about their experience.

Goldman Sachs Information Session and Coffee Chats

Goldman Sachs has scheduled their Fall 2025 BC visit for October 22nd & 23rd. They will be hosting a Goldman Sachs Overview session on October 22nd open to all sophomore students and Coffee Chats throughout the day on October 23rd. Applications have now opened for the Coffee Chats, and selected students will have the chance to network with 1-2 Goldman Sachs professionals during a 20-minute session. Both events have been posted on BC’s Handshake page!

Leerink Partners Info Session

Leerink Partners is a world-class investment bank focused on growth and innovative companies and investors in the healthcare and life sciences industries. The firm will be hosting an information session on Tuesday, October 21st at 7:00 pm for students to learn more about the firm and the 2027 Investment Banking Summer Analyst Program targeted towards current sophomores. College Fed Challenge

The Boston College team will be participating in the College Fed Challenge, a national tournament where undergraduate teams analyze the economy and present a 15-minute monetary policy recommendation to a panel of experts. It’s a unique chance to showcase how deeply students at each university care about economics and policy making!

The team is currently focusing on areas such as labor markets, inflation, monetary policy, and the housing market. If you follow these topics, enjoy tracking data, or simply have insights you think would be meaningful for our team, please share them with [email protected] by October 13th.

ILHPR Events on Land, Housing & Property Rights

  • MassMutual: MassMutual is currently accepting applications for their iMMerse program.   • PIMCO: PIMCO’s 2026 summer internship program is open for applications (reviewed on a rolling basis). They offer a broad array of internship programs (portfolio management/trading, finance & accounting, legal & compliance, private strategies, business development, product strategy, account management etc.) Review the links attached below to apply!

  • Capital Fellows Program: Applications to the Capital Fellows Program are open! The Capital Fellows Programs are nationally recognized public policy fellowships which offer unique experiences in policy-making and development in each branch of California's state government. During the year-long programs, Capital Fellows operate as full-time paid employees working in a Legislative, Executive or Judicial Branch office for 10-11 months.
