Department of Defense Recruiting/Networking Session

Join us on Thursday, February 8th, from 12:00–2:00 P.M. in Higgins 280 for an information session and networking with the Department of Defense, co-hosted with the International Studies Program.

The Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) provides defense intelligence on foreign militaries and operating environments to deliver decision advantages that prevent and decisively win wars. Leaders at all levels of the military and the government, from the Secretary of Defense to the President, rely on DIA for cutting-edge analysis, targeted collection, and advanced technological expertise to support global military operations.

Joining the session will be "JQ" Jonathan Qu. JQ is a defense economic analyst at the DoD where he has been covering the East Asia region since 2019. JQ graduated in 2019 from Boston College with a major in economics and a minor in Chinese. After the information presentation from the DoD, JQ will be available to network and discuss his role as a defense economic analyst.

Join us on Wednesday, February 7th, from 7:00–8:00 P.M. in Fulton 453 for an information session and case study hosted by Cornerstone Research. Learn more about the consulting field and a stellar firm through this casual event. Food will be provided.

February Econ Cafe

On Wednesday, February 7th, from 2:00–4:00 P.M., the BC Economics Department will be hosting the first Econ Cafe of the Spring semester in Maloney 3rd Floor Lobby. Complimentary coffee and desserts will be provided. We hope to see you there!

  • Harris Williams will be on campus on February 14 to share details about our upcoming Summer Analyst 2025 recruiting process. They’ll have coffee chats from 9am-4pm followed by a formal presentation and Q&A at 6pm. You can register for both the info session and coffee chats via Handshake.

  • DiiVe round 2 applications have re-opened for their Summer Consulting Internships, either remote or in Cape Town, and close on March 20th. Learn from BCG, EY, and McKinsey consultants, and consult on a real client challenge in teams! They also have a few slots open still for 15 min virtual coffee chats next week.   • Jane Street is excited to announce the 2nd annual Women in Quant Finance Conference, hosted by some of the leading firms in the industry. They want to invite Boston-area women and other gender minority students from Boston College to attend on Wednesday, February 21st @ 6:00pm – 9:00pm ET at the Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston.   • Leerink Partners will be on campus for an Information session on February 13th at 6 pm ET. They invite you to attend if you are interested in learning more about their firm and are interested in their 2025 Investment Banking Summer Analyst Program. This internship program is targeted towards current Sophomores. Registration for the event is open in Handshake.

  • Houlihan Lokey’s Corporate Finance campus recruiting team will be hosting an Investment Banking Information Session on Monday, February 5th from 6:00 – 7:00 pm ET about their 2025 Summer Analyst recruiting processes. Houlihan Lokey, Inc. is a global investment bank with expertise in mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, financial restructuring, and financial and valuation advisory. This virtual event will allow diverse sophomore students interested in summer 2025 internships within either line of business an exclusive look at the firm.   • Roland Berger is a leading global strategy consulting firm with offices in over 34 countries. They are hosting their 8th annual charity consulting case competition to benefit Make-A-Wish® Massachusetts and Rhode Island. The competition provides undergraduate students the opportunity to solve a case based on a real-life consulting challenge. The goal of the Case for a Cause charity case competition is to raise funds to sponsor a child's wish and provide career guidance and opportunities to students in schools in the local community. This year's registration deadline is February 28th, 2024. Early sign-ups are strongly encouraged.   • Brinley Partners, LP is a rapidly growing asset manager based in New York City and is looking for a Summer Analyst to join the Investment Team in Summer 2025. Brinley’s experienced investment team leverages its relationships with top-tier private equity and direct lending partners to source attractive investment opportunities. Summer Analysts participate in all aspects of the investment process (underwriting/diligence, structuring/execution, and portfolio monitoring). Summer Analysts will receive training throughout the internship and will have hands-on modeling experience on live deals and their final summer projects.   • Harvard Business School's Undergraduate Research Program for Summer 2024 is now accepting applications - Program for Research in Markets & Organizations (PRIMO). Managed by the HBS Doctoral Programs Office, in collaboration with the Harvard Research Village, PRIMO is a 10-week summer research program for undergraduates (rising sophomores, juniors, or seniors) to work closely with HBS faculty on business research. This year, the program will run from June 3 - August 8, 2024. Applications are due February 14. They have a virtual information session upcoming January 30, where we will give a general overview of the program and application process. Registration details are linked here.

  • Wiiam Bair has kicked off their Summer Analyst 2025 recruiting season! Applications are now open on their William Blair career site (deadline to apply is February 29th). They will also host a series of events, information sessions, and coffee chats over the next few weeks to help educate students on our firm, recruiting process, and timelines. Our events are geared toward specific teams, offices, and schools. February 27th: Boston Office In-Person Networking Dinner (Invite only).
